Born and raised in the infamous Tornado Alley of the central US, where around 1000 tornadoes occur every year, I have always had a love, and fear, of storms. I began chasing at an early age, not knowing what kind of miraculous events were occurring before me. My interest in learning more about storm development led me to research and observation of the life of a storm. It is so humbling to stare up at a building thunderhead or wallcloud and realize that you are nothing but a bystander. All you can do is watch and take in the beauty that is nature.
I began photographing and shooting time-lapse of storms around six years ago. I have traveled thousands of miles, witnessing the sights of the mid-west with some amazing people. Shooting time-lapse of storms put them in a whole new perspective for me. You are able to witness aspects of a storm that most people cannot appreciate with the naked eye. Please, check out my time-lapse page.
